Diving Tour of the Lewis
and Clark Bicentennial. This is a multi-volume, multi state
series, which will have ten volumes. For this landmark project,
CarTours teamed up with a wide range of highly regarded historical
societies, Native American tribes, independent educators, National
Park Service and other federal agency personnel to create a lasting
legacy of the trail and to increase awareness of the need to preserve
our national heritage and historic sites. CarTours, a non-profit
organization whose mission is to inspire stewardship, also hopes

This series of ten hour-long
audio driving tours offers an intimate guide that leads travelers
through the history, drama, and cultures of America's odyssey
along the Lewis
and Clark National Historic Trail.
This series will be offered
in both audiocassette and Web-enhanced Audio CD formats. The CD-ROM
version can be used on a personal computer to explore the journey
in greater depth with extended interviews, video clips, detailed
maps and graphics. Plus, up-to-date interactive Internet links
will give access to local attractions and celebrations, services,
food, lodging, and much more. The audio is expertly timed to correspond
with the posted speed limits of the routes.
